Okay, Dreamwidth and I are not getting along today!

But, this is worth battling the code gods, for lo: they released the performance for Somebody That I Used To Know.

My feels, let me give you them. All of them.

Where do I even start? Just. Them.

And I wonder if that's the only little-boy-Andersons flashback we're getting. It's so very very classic in a lot of ways--of course that's what you do with your annoying little brother, and it's simultaneously cruel and completely meaningless, if you're the older sibling. I mean, that's how I treated my little sister on our nice days, growing up.

Ugh, it needs to be next week. All the feelings.

Someone needs to tell me honestly (because I apparently can't decide for myself any more when it comes to spoilers (I used to be so good at this, what the hell)) whether or not I should watch this now or wait.

Keep in mind that I am intensely (read: disturbingly) emotional about this ep/character/this song, and I still have a 5 minute speech to write today :/

(Actually, well, I suppose I almost may as well anyway, because I've just seen jakia's parallel gifset down thread and OHMY GOD, SHOW, THIS IS NO LONGER COOL AND/OR FUNNY. NO. JUST NO.)

Holy.... Nope, can't deal with these parallels.

(So Something's Coming was Blaine's As If We Never Said Goodbye, and now Somebody That I Used To Know will be his Rose's Turn? For fuck's sake, Glee, just... cool it with the angst, once in a while...)

I mean it makes sense to connect those two moments (except that Kurt was only Not Himself for one episode, whereas Blaine is always Not Himself). They share similar feelings (as far as I can tell) of not being good enough or meeting someone's expectations.

I just... Rose's Turn, if we are in fact paralleling them, has so much more "this is what is going to be, I am going to get what I want", whereas STIUK is just... despair? (I HATE YOUR TRAGEDY ARCHETYPE THING, BLAINE, I REALLY DO.)

QUESTION FOR MODS:

If I take a million screenshots of "Somebody That I Used to Know" and analyze them, should I make that it's own post, or should I post it here and take a zillion comments?

Speaking as only one of four, I would say totally make it a new post and there can be a proper discussion about it there, unless the others feel differently?
