Monday Recs Spectacular!

Good morning, my lot of lovelies.  Hope you survived your respective weekends more or less in one piece.

Today, once again, I'd encourage you to rec any and all fic/art/vids/etc you've seen in the past week that you've loved, and also today, once again, we have an additional theme!

Today's theme is going to be crossovers.   There's been a lot of interest in AU recs, and I think I'm going to break that down across a few different weeks, since there are so many different kinds of AU, and it's only fair to focus on one at a time.  So today, rec me your favorite stories (AU and canon-compliant) that bump across another fandom entirely!  Or vid, or art, or etc.  (I know there's some really excellent Glee/Doctor Who art out there, for instance.)

Crossovers

Special by Miggy - Marvel crossover. I'm not even familiar with much of Marvel and you don't need to be for it to make sense.

Just finished reading this story and it's a perfect rec for this week: Love Love Is Going To Lead You By The Hand by miss_begonia. It's a delightful crossover with Happy Endings, wherein Blaine goes to Chicago for a college visit set up by his father, Santana is there spreading around her special brand of cheer, Kurt is at school in New York offering his support telephonicaly, and Blaine figures out where he wants to be. Even though he really knew it all along. The whole Happy Endings crew make appearances, but Blaine mostly interacts with Penny and Max. The world's best worst limo driver/tour guide.

I swore off Grey's Anatomy after the writers killed off George O'Malley, but I am entertained by Song Beneath the Song because having Kurt Hummel and Christina Yang on the same team is just snarky and fun. It's a WIP with just one more chapter to come ...

And I found two more in my bookmarks:

Because You Left, also from the above-mentioned lookninjas. It's a Lost crossover, so it's complex but it's coming together. I've forgotten a lot about Lost since it's been off the air, but she has a fantastic knowledge of the series and she's worked in so many characters from both shows, like Leslie Arzt and Holly Holliday (who is just fun to have around, no?). The fic starts off with Blaine's dad, Ben Linus, teaching math at WMHS. It's still a WIP, but there's 18-19 chapters completed, IIRC.

Carry That Weight (link to Masterpost), which was written by hedgerose (who's currently writing the Def 'verse) and penguinutopia. This is an American Idol crossover that has most of the Glee kids (and Jesse St. James). It's a fluff read, told from Blaine's POV. I like the interactions with the judges, Ryan Seacrest, and even Kris Allen makes a few cameos ... There is also an elaborate wiki for this fic, and at least one person has stumbled upon it and thought that it was an actual AI season, which really made me giggle!
