The number 13

I got to talking to people on tumblr, and we realized that while twelve is the required number for Glee Club competition, there are often more than twelve. We even did a little research, and the kids who has been unlucky number thirteen are Kurt, Blaine, Santana, and Rory.

Anyone have any thinky-thoughts on this?

Oh man, I really enjoyed reading the Tumblr conversation about this, but I feel like I don't have anything to add. *sadface*

Since the students count toward the essential twelve and Schue doesn't, is he number 0? And since Jesse is also leading a glee club now, is he also number 0?

Jersey Numbers

Finn's jersey number is 5.

Kurt's number is 3.

Puck's is 20.

Do these mean anything? What do you think?

According to the wikipedias, three means "Communication/interaction. Self expression. Innovative skills" and five means "Action. Restlessness. Life experience". This both seem completely appropriate for Kurt and Finn. It doesn't say anything about 20 though.
