Sunday Funday!

Remember that time Kurt and Rachel went to Emma and said they had an announcement, and she said she's not surprised, she thinks this is the only dating combination the Glee club hasn't tried? Well, she's wrong, there are other combinations they haven't tried. I want to hear head canons for couples that have never been together on the show and how their relationships would go. :D

As usual, feel free to post gifs, vids, arts, and other fun things. :D

Edit: I've started a few pairing threads, but they're just whatever pops into my head. Don't feel limited by them or anything! Feel free to start more threads. :)

I imagine it would start as a fighting-over-Finn thing? They'd be really competitive with each other and all that passion and emotion would morph into something positive. Eventually they'd realize they like each other and they're friends, just like on the show, but in the meantime it would be angry and confusing and messy. Maybe?

If Tina had stayed with Artie, who would Mike have dated? Maybe Brittany, since they spend so much time together working on their choreography, and later were in Brainiacs together. Maybe Quinn, since they're both eager to work hard and not get distracted, so they might encourage each other to do well. (And Mike might not have decided to be a dancer instead of a doctor in that case.) I don't know, I want to hear other ideas.

Oh my god, I think I actually 'ship Mike with ALL the other ND members except Finn, Puck, Santana and Joe.

Mike would quietly take notes on Brittany and figure out what she means by everything so that he can have meaningful conversations with her. And hey, both Mike and Britt are pretty open about PDA, so there's that.

I like imagining Mike going out with Kurt or Rachel. They would both pretty much talk his ear off but appreciate that he really listens, and that would eventually develop into mutual soul-baring. Kurt would help co-ordinate Mike's outfits, Rachel would encourage Mike to take the male leads...

The shooting script for Heart gave us some further confirmation of bisexual-Artie and a Mike/Artie/Tina relationship. However, I can't say how an Artie/Mike 'ship would work in terms of dynamics.

Mike/Mercedes would be the most super chill and non-dramatic couple ever. I notice that Mike and Tina are often angry as a unit, but Mike/Mercedes might be almost weirdly serene about everything (because Mike wouldn't encourage cheating or be slightly creepy). Mercedes would definitely encourage Mike to be a dancer though, since she advised Kurt to come out to the club in Acafellas, it seems like the sort of thing she'd do.

Out of the above characters, the only one who'd maybe send Mike's applications off without asking would be Rachel. Maybe Britt?

I feel like Mike/Brittany would work really well. They seem to really like each other, and he's not judgmental about her intellectual abilities, and I kind of love the idea of him figuring out what she means by the weird stuff she says.

I'm in favour of Mike/Kurt. Mike would take notes on what clothes Kurt likes him in, and would teach Kurt more dance moves, and would continue to get distracted by the shoulder shimmy. He would be blushy and adorable in class. :D

I'm not sure about Mike/Rachel. She has the potential to walk all over him because he's so unassuming and unaccustomed to taking what he wants. Maybe you're right though and she'd encourage him. And maybe he'd teach her a thing or two about listening and helping by taking a back seat sometimes.

I am all in favour of Mike/Artie/Tina, and for some reason it works so much better in my brain than Mike/Artie. Maybe Artie would come to Mike confessing that he's having confusing bisexual feelings about Mr. Martinez, and maybe he should experiment in order to figure things out, and Mike would be very helpful and supportive. LOL.

Hmmmm Mike/Mercedes. She would shyly ask him on a date, and he was grin and say yes, all flattered and happy, and he would be a perfect gentleman and compliment her outfit... Definitely not enough drama for Glee, which is clearly why it never happened. ;)

Brittany would totally send off his applications without asking. Possibly Artie would too.

What about Mike/Blaine? They like to get together to practice songs like You Should Be Dancing and Hot For Teacher, and maybe Blaine noticed that Mike has basically the most incredible body ever, and maybe they also got together so Blaine could help Mike with his singing, and they're basically both the sweetest and most romantic so there would be lots of adorable shmoopiness maybe?

I'm pretty sure Puck has been with every other girl in glee club, either sexually or romantically. I like to think that's because Tina is so desirable she's never available; someone else has always gotten to her first. So maybe if she and Mike ever broke up or took a break or became non-monogamous, Puck would jump at the chance to woo her and try to convince her Puckzilla is worth her time.

Absolutely. Actually, during Big Ass Heart, Tina looks ticked off, presumably because she's the only ND girl who hasn't been seduced by Pucky Puck yet.

I imagine Puck would be up for the challenge of outdoing Mike as a sexual partner.

Jakia wrote a short fill about Kurt thinking he's 100% gay due to the power of suggestion, because everyone just KNEW while he was growing up that he liked boys.

Kurt/a girl is hardly a thing that exists anywhere on the Net, because people usually make the straight boys and sometimes the girls queer, and it's usually important that Kurt and Blaine are always the exclusively gay ones. But consider the possibilities! Kurt/Lauren Zizes? Reciprocated Kurt/Mercedes? They had a kid this year, after all! They must be such proud parents. OMG, now I want fic similar to the 50s Christmas special where Kurt and Mercedes are the proud parents of Unique and Jesse is their annoying neighbour and shenanigans ensue.

I've seen some Kurt/Rachel ("You make me want to be your boyfriend") and of course Kurt totally made out with Britt. I can't picture Kurt/Santana romantically because they would KILL each other, but I could go for Kurt/Quinn. It would also be interesting to see Kurt paired up with Tina or Sugar, but he might be attracted to them mainly for their keen interests in fashion.

Ok when I read Kurt/Lauren I'm pretty sure I was picturing Chris/Ashley because I went "Yay best friends and joking and snuggles and snark!" LOL. I don't actually remember Kurt and Lauren interacting all that much.

I vote yes to Kurt/Mercedes. They'd be so sweet and adorable and she would encourage his awesome fashion choices and defend him against people who claim he couldn't possibly like girls. They might have religious issues though. But there'd be shopping and snuggles and parentally condoned sleepovers (if they kept their relationship a secret for a while) and sexy pyjama clad makeouts. And she could help him work through his issues around sex without resorting to scary porn. OMG Now I want to read this story. LOL.

Kurt/Rachel would be LOUD. Holy crap. They're both such divas. That would be a disaster. LOL. But maybe just for a short fling or something.

I don't think Kurt/Brittany would work long term because he'd keep rolling his eyes at her when she says something bizarre. Well, later on when she compliments him and calls him a unicorn he seems to really like her, so maybe it would work as long as she's flattering and not actively competing against him.

Kurt/Santana would only work in that way Finn/Santana worked (ie not at all). She wants to take his virginity, he kind of really wants to know what sex is like, she's super hot and teaches him a lot but then she makes fun of him later.

I'm weirdly fond of the idea of Tina/Kurt. They're both fashionable and used to standing out from the crowd, and they're both surprisingly sexy characters under those carefully constructed layers. I don't think anyone outside the couple would understand the appeal, but they'd get on well.

Of all the dating combinations the Glee Club has tried, I am seriously, seriously surprised this one has never happened.
