If Kurt was straight, he would have gone out with Mercedes in season one and they would have been adorable. And she would have encouraged his awesome fashion choices and not given a crap what anyone had to say about her hot straight boyfriend's corsets and brooches. And I would have shipped it hardcore.

My headcanon has always been if Kurt was straight, he would have harbored a secret love/hate crush on Rachel in season one, finally befriended her in season 2, and then worked to ~woo her and steal her from Finn by the end of season 2.

Also brotherly rivalry yesssss.

Heee that works too! Kurt certainly understands Rachel a lot better than Finn does, and can probably cook decent vegan gourmet too.

I can't help but think that if Kurt were straight he may well have lost his virginity to Brittany.

And now I want to read the fic with Kurt where he has a dramatic, intense relationship with Mercedes early on that flames out, he rebounds with Britt & gets laid, then competes with Finn for Rachel and wins, and then...? somehow ends up with Blaine anyway because I can't imagine them apart IDEK, but it would be a fun AU.

Ooooh. But why does his relationship with Mercedes flame out? In canon in didn't work because he wasn't attracted to her. Also because he was in love with Finn. Maybe it doesn't work out because he's secretly in love with Rachel. (And Mercedes busts the windows of his car.)

Maybe Blaine is a girl in this universe? Or maybe Kurt is bisexual but doesn't believe it for a long time?

And maybe Blaine is still a dude, and he and Kurt meet like they do in canon, and Blaine hits on him and Kurt is all "0_o I'm straight!" and Blaine is all "my bad!" but then they become friends and by the time senior prom rolls around they are besties and they get drunk and make out--

Yes, all of this is A+, particularly the falling out with Mercedes over religion. But, OMG, angst with the timing.

...and Blaine gives him, like, the best blowjob ever in the entire history of the universe and Kurt can't get over it.
