Monday: Recs To Get You Through The Week
Happy Monday (or Tuesday if you hail from the Land Down Under :D), all! Hope your weeks have all started well, and that they continue to be well.
If not, then here: have some absolutely fabulous recs to get you there!
You know what to do: if it has anything to do with Glee, rec it here and share the awesome. Fic, meta, vids, art, etc etc.

I know Robots (
And, if you're in the mood at all, some some very lovely and very NSFW Brittana art.
Aaaand, with that, I'm off to panic about French and the fact that I have about 600 lines of Virgil translation to remember in the next ten days. I HAVE THE POWER...

And, actually, although it has nothing to do with Glee, I recommend this specifically to you and Virgil: a shortish (40 min) audiobook explanation by Derren Brown of my favorite memory techniques. I never would have done so well in the classes for which I had to memorize long sequences of things if I didn't have that book. It's funny, and useful, if you like memory techniques. Which I kind of do. A lot.

And thank you so much for your rec, I don't know what to say! I may listen to it on the bus, actually :D I do enjoy memory techniques, and anything that is going to help me pass this thing is more than welcome ♥

So since this place is relatively new, I'm going to rec ~*old things*~.
The Crazy Boys In Love Verse by
This is a Kurt/Blaine verse, and the very definition of "jossed." It's from back when there wasn't much known about Blaine, and it explores his character as this fascinatingly broken person. Not "broken" as in having given up, or too hurt by circumstances to continue, but -- he's just developed these methods of dealing with things that are at once interesting, heartbreaking, and, often, that wonderful, miserable kind of funny. The whole thing balances humor and seriousness really well, and it's a pleasure to read, particularly the first in the series, Love (Makes You Do The Crazy). There are three stories, plus a wonderful podfic on AO3 called A story set in modern times, about something so much older.
I Bring My Better Angels To Every Fight by
Burt wanted to change the world for Kurt. He didn't realize that, by changing himself, he already had. Those years of struggling that it took Burt to figure things out.
This is my favorite Burt+Kurt backstory. It's written from the point-of-view of Burt, and it is absolutely breathtaking in the level of thought put into his journey from someone who would cringe at the thought of having a gay son, to the Burt we know in the show, who loves Kurt unconditionally. I love the voices in this story. Burt, Kurt, the original characters -- they're all fantastic. Actually, every single thing about it is wonderful, and you should totally just read it.

I actually have a thing for stories about the tertiary characters! I am smitten with these two with Jesse St. James: The Pip with Pizzazz and it's sequel, Wizn't He Wonderful. The basic premise is that Jesse forces a friendship b/w himself and Blaine and it irritates Kurt et al. In the sequel, Jesse comes back to Lima after spending some time in NYC, and brings with him the original broadway cast recording from CrossRhodes, which is just hilarious/delightful/very April Rhodes.
This new one caught my attention: Stand A Little Taller. It's about the TroubleTones (who are awesome, of course) and the first chapter is written from the perspective of The Mack from the Skanks.
